The unique running festival, which crowned world champions in the mile, five-kilometer and half-marathon distances in Riga, for the first time brought together thousands of amateur runners from at least 100 countries around the world. The medal design idea is rooted in the geometry of running, which is formed by the body position, the angle of the step, the rhythm of the breath and the pulse rate. The design of the medals of the World Running Championships reflects the multifaceted path of each participant to the finish line. It abstractly plays with the length of the given distance (1 mile, 5 km, 21 km) - the longer the distance, the more strategic and precise work must be invested, the more obstacles must be overcome.
